Last weekend I spent Easter with my family at a place I’ve been visiting my entire life. As far back as I remember, my family has come together at this same place for all the major holidays each year. We’ve only ever been apart for a few holidays because of international travel, but we’ve always come back to this same place.
Change has been a constant in my life, but I love these small consistencies in my life. These consistencies are a constant in this ever changing world, and it gives me peace to know they'll be there for the foreseeable future.
Throughout my life thus far I’ve moved many times, been to a handful of schools, changed jobs, travelled and encountered countless new challenges.
I have attempted to embrace every new challenge thats thrown at me with open arms, but as I’m sure you know change can be really hard to manage and adjust to sometimes.
Change is inevitable, but that doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy. Sometimes change is a struggle, and other times it is a gift.
Change is the only constant in life.’
~Heraclitus, Greek Philosopher
We may have time to prepare for change, or it may be suddenly thrown upon us, and challenge us to adapt to our new reality.
Find those consistencies in your life, and remember them when life throws challenges at you. Having consistencies in your life is a good thing, in our ever changing world. Never forget that they'll be there for you in both the good and the bad times.
